Hi Everyone,
I had to cancel the herding class with Brian Cash on July19th due to a conflict in his schedule. However...a better opportunity for herding has come along!

We will be meeting at Performance Dogs In Action
www.performancedogsinaction.com

Nola Jones has ALOT of experience with herding breeds and is a terrific trainer. Read the bio on her website!

Details for the meeting are as follows:

    9am-12pm , Saturday, July 26th
  • 1 Hour lecture and instinct testing (herding time in the ring)
  • While other dogs are being tested, Nola has giving us permission to use her entire property for agility, water play, and time to socialize with each other.

Cost is $60/dog for this clinic.
I apologize about having to RSVP again, but with the change in venue/date/cost, I feel it's necessary to do another RSVP. Please email me if you have any questions!

Hope to see you there! AND...if your dog loves the herding clinic...you've found the perfect training center to continue classes~

We had a great time and Bandit was in doggy heaven meeting all the other dogs and their people! I wasn't sure how well a mini could do herding sheep that are sooo much bigger than he is and he has never even met a sheep before but he apparently does have some instinct for it and did pretty well for his first time out! I think we'll stick with the agility for now.

I can't wait for our 5 month mini to meet and play with other aussies! Miss Moto is sure to have a good time and I'm guessing will sleep very well tomorrow night!

Word has it....it can by quite "buggy" out at Nola's place. Everyone might want to bring some bug spray.

We pay once we get there. Any dog that goes in the herding ring for testing is $60. No charge to come and play around the property

This sounds great! Do we pay when we get there or before? If my husband came along with our other dog, is it another $60 for him if he just wants to play? I can't wait!

Wow! $60 bucks for the clinic! I think Huck is going to have to do some extra chores around the house!

    •  I'm glad I got to experience Nola's training style. If we have another herding meetup again, I would like to expose you to Brian Cash. Both Nola and Brian are great instructors, but they do have two totally different styles.

I liked the meetup very much. I think that it would have been a little bit better if it had been limited to a smaller group. I loved her facility and would like to go back again for more training.
    •  We didn't do the herding instinct testing but hung out for the social aspect. It looked like alot of fun in the ring so I might let her give it a try on some later date.
    •  not sure how many were there but we had a BLAST Thanks soooooooooooo Much Lisa for putting it together would for sure do another herding event !!!! lots of really nice people and pups !
    •  This was absolutely doggie disneyland! Leo had a wonderful time running around, meeting all the other dogs, and trying to herd sheep! He's totally pooped out!
    •  We all had a great time. Now we know that our two guys weren't trained for herding before we adopted them. We always wondered. They didn't want to leave, they were enjoying the pond too much. Tucker normally won't swim, but he had no problem with the pond. They wanted another round with the sheep as well! Thanks for organizing the outing Lisa!
